Construction Methods for Sign Patterns Allowing Nilpotence of Index k
In this paper, the smallest such integer k is called by the index (of nilpotence) of B such that B = 0. In this paper, we study sign patterns allowing nilpotence of index k and obtain four methods to construct sign patterns allowing nilpotence of index at most k, which generalizes some recent results.
متن کاملSome Results of Sign patterns Allowing Simultaneous Unitary Diagonalizability
Allowing diagonalizability of sign pattern is still an open problem. In this paper, we make a carefully discussion about allowing unitary diagonalizability of two sign pattern. Some sufficient and necessary conditions of allowing unitary diagonalizability are also obtained. Keywords—Sign pattern; Unitary diagonalizability ; Eigenvalue; Allowing diagonalizability
متن کاملDerivations and bounded nilpotence index
We construct a nil ring R which has bounded index of nilpotence 2, is Wedderburn radical, and is commutative, and which also has a derivation δ for which the differential polynomial ring R[x; δ] is not even prime radical. This example gives a strong barrier to lifting certain radical properties from rings to differential polynomial rings. It also demarcates the strength of recent results about ...
متن کاملPractical Machine Translation System allowing Complex Patterns
Pattern-based machine translation systems can be easily customized by adding new patterns. To gain full profits from this character, input of patterns should be both expressive and simple to understand. The pattern-based machine translation system we have developed simplifies the handling of features in patterns by allowing sharing constraints between non-terminal symbols, and implementing an a...
متن کاملHomotopical Nilpotence of S3
In [l] Berstein and Ganea define the nilpotence of an ü-space to be the least integer » such that the »-commutator is nullhomotopic. We prove that S3 with the usual multiplication is 4 nilpotent. Let X be an ii-space. The 2-commutator c2: XXX—>X is defined by c2(x, y) =xyx~1y~1 where the multiplication and inverses are given by the ü-space structure of X. The »-commutator cn: X"-+X is defined i...
